Kolkata Knight Riders ended a 5-year wait for the IPL Champions

Kolkata Knight Riders ended a 5-year wait for the IPL Champions title by winning a thriller against the defending champions Chennai Super Kings. The game was perfectly balanced, but the clarity of Bisla and Jacques Kallis was the task for KKR.

No IframesChennai Super Kings played like true defending champion, with the exception of errors in bowling. After winning the toss Dhoni decided to bat first. Suresh Raina and Mike Hussey stepped up and scored well help CSK with a target of 191 seats.

Chennai Super Kings were on top of the game after the placement of an opening position 87 runs. Later, Suresh Raina helped many more to add to the score.

KKR did not have good stars with the bat too. Ben Hilfenhaus struck in the first acquisition of the match by dismissing KKR skipper Gautam Gambhir. Bisla included in the team by the lack of Lakshmipathy Balaji, played a superb innings to the required run rate to curb.

Kallis played an anchor role of the patient. Shakib Al Hasan AND Manoj Tiwary role in pushing boundaries in crucial moments in the match.

MS Dhoni praised Bisla and Kallis' innings, while Gautam Gambhir expressed his delight at winning the title during the award ceremony.
