KKR is the new champion of IPL 2012, season fifth They beat Chennai Super Kings by 5 wickets in a thrilling final with 2 balls to spare. MS Bisla, the great run chase with a brilliant 89 of just 48 balls, followed by Kallis, who hammered 69 from 49 balls. Bisla & Kallis one hundred plus run partnership put the winning platform for KKR, even though they lost some quick wickets in the late overs. Sakib Al Hasan & Tiwary kept a cool head to Kolkata lead to a historic victory in IPL-2012-final. Congratulations to KKR.
Earlier, Chennai won the toss and elected to bat. Strong opening stand of Hussey & Vijay put them in a riders position. Later Raina and Dhoni play in and build a formidable total of 190 for 3 wickets. Shakib Al Hasan took a superb catch from the bowling of Bhatia to get rid of the opening partnership. Later Shakib got wicket of Raina caught by Lee.
